Profile of Rajan Anandan
I have seen many people believing that Rajan is an Indian. He is just handling Google India operation, but not an Indian. He is a Shri Lankan Tamil.
Rajan father was one of the most distinguished sports persons of the South Asia. He was a great swimmer and known for swimming Palk Strait between India and Sri Lanka. He had many Guinese Book of World Records under his name, like standing on one leg continuously for 33 hours and treading water for 72 hours. The name of his father was V. S. Kumar Anandan.
Rajan lost his father when he was a teen. The death was also quite painful. Without getting complete weather forecast, his father decided to make a world record of swimming the English Channel. Unfortunately, at the middle of the session, he couldn’t withstand the stormy weather and died. The end was tragic for Rajan and it had also changed his life forever.

Rajan joined Microsoft in 2008 and remained there for little more than two years. His stupendous work at Microsoft compelled Google to make an offer to him. He accepted the offer and was assigned the role of Managing Director for Google India operation in 2011. As mentioned above, few years later he was promoted to the post of Vice President for an ever enhancing Indian market.
