Jharkhand Staff Selection Commission (JSSC) has become a den of corruption. Raghubar Das Government has ruined this institution which was in good shape few years back. The manner in which JSSC has cancelled the Preliminary Examination Result of CGL Exam is nothing short of utter shame. On the basis of a mistake by some useless old officer, the Commission has ruined 15 months of 10 thousands of candidates. The High Court must take notice of this fact and do something which can streamline the working of JSSC.
The latest in the series is JSSC PGTTCE – 2016. The Main Examination was held on 19th February at various centers in Ranchi. And, there comes lots news of irregularity.
JSSC PGTTCE 2016 To Be Cancelled
The State Government has already got lots of letters from various section of civil society about irregularity in this examination. There are many news of candidates leaving the OMR sheet black, not filling up a single block. As you might know, JSSC asks candidates to fill up the OMR sheet with blue or black pen, not with pencil. The logic is to stop malpractice at later stage as the pencil mark can be erased and can be refilled. But, what about those candidates who are not filling up any block?
Following is the scanned copy of a letter written by a Professor of Bokaro alleging irregularity. He is a senior professor and was given duty as an examination controller at a center in Ranchi. While walking around he saw many candidates not filling up any block on the OMR sheet. He asked few candidates, but didn’t get any satisfactory reason. It is obviously not legal to compel any candidate to fill anything against his/her will. It is also quite obvious that the OMR sheet was not filled so that it can be done at a later stage in JSSC.
The State Government has taken this letter seriously. It is not coming from a disgruntled source, but a senior professor is writing on her personal observation.
There is no denying that investigation will be done on the basis of this letter. And, there is also a very high possibility that the entire examination process will be cancelled. JSSC may be asked to organize re-examination of Mains.
