Tejaswi Nayak is
a flamboyant and sometimes controversial IAS officer of MP Cadre. He is known
for taking stand which suits his values of real and result oriented
administration. From the very first posting as Assistant Collector at
Hoshangabad, he showed that he means business. Tejaswi is known for being a
tough administration who doesn’t tolerate corrupt and nonsense behavior.

Tajaswi Nayak
was born in Sirsi, Kernataka. He was a brilliant student from his school days. He
has done schooling from Chandrakanth Patil English Medium School. He had a dream of becoming neurosurgeon. Unfortunately,
he couldn’t clear Pre Medical Test, but got through Pre Dental Test. He took
admission in K L E Institute, Belgaum from where he did Bachelor of Dental
Surgery. During his BDS days, he decided to become an IAS officer and started
preparation. In 2008, he cracked UPSC Civil Services Examination and got All
India Rank 132 and also IAS. After training, he was given Madhya Pradesh Cadre.
Tejaswi Nayak is
the son of Mr. S. H. Nayak. He belongs to OBC and because of this fact he got
IAS even after securing AIR of 132.
Wife of Tejaswi Nayak
Tejaswi Nayak is
married to Swati Meena. As a matter of fact, Swati Meena is also an IAS
officer. She is two years senior to Tejaswi. She is also from the same state cadre;
Madhya Pradesh. They came in contact with each other while working on a same
project and soon fell in love. They got married in 2014. There is no denying
that they make a very lovely and inspiring couple. It is interesting that Swati
Meena is an ST and hence while having very low rank in the UPSC Civil Services
Examination, she got IAS.
Anyway, both
Tejaswi and Swati Meena Nayak are not only lovely couple, but they are
considered among the best of young IAS officers of not only MP, but in India.
Tejaswi Nayak and Controversy
Tejaswi has a
different style of working. He never acknowledge illegal demands of
politicians. Because of this fact, he has found many times in the crosshairs of
politicians. Even privileged motion was passed in the Madhya Pradesh
Legislative Assembly against him by five MLAs, belonging to the ruling BJP and
Congress. He was accused by the Deputy Speaker of not answering the call. In
fact, in that case, Tejaswi had openly said that the Deputy Speaker, Mr. Rajendra
Singh who is a Congress leader, was asking for a personal favor.
