Nikesh Arora’s father was an officer with the Indian Air Force. Nikesh did engineering from Indian Institute of Technology – BHU in 1989. It must be noted here that at the time of Nikesh engineering, this college was not an IIT. After completing degree with Electrical Engineering, Nitesh went the USA and took admission in Boston College for MS. Later, he did MBA from Northeastern University. It should be mentioned here that apart from B.Tech, MS and MBA, Nikesh also holds CFA designation.

Nikesh Arora married socialite Ayesha Thapar in July, 2014. This was a big fat Punjabi marriage which was intensively covered by Indian and USA press.

The marriage was solemnized in Italy and was attended by celebrities from Bollywood and Hollywood. Needless to say, tech giants from Google and other Silicon Valley companies were there.

The couple has a son.

Ayesha is the scion of powerful Thapar family of Delhi. She is going to handle Indian City Properties of Thapar family.
