Brijesh Singh is in jail since 2008. Before that, he was out of sight for close to one decade. A special STF team arrested him in 2008 in Bhubaneshwar where he was living with a pseudo name – Arun Singh.

Brijesh is also the biggest enemy of Mukhtar Ansari. Innumerable people – criminals and innocents – have died in the gang war between them. There are many high profile massacres done of them, like that of Krishnanand Rai murder and others. Recently, Brijesh is believed to have given supari to Sunil Rathi to eliminate Munna Bajrangi. Rathi killed Bajrangi, the most trusted gangster of Mukhtar Ansari, in Baghpat Jail. It is said that Brijesh had paid Rs. 10 Crores to kill Munna.
