Asit Yadav is a
young and dynamic Indian Police Service (IPS) Officer of Madhya Pradesh Cadre.
He had cracked UPSC Civil Services Examination in 2010 with All India Rank of
364. Ever since joining the service, he is making news for positive and
constructive work that can be expected by a Police Officer in these tough
times. Moreover, his performance in some of the most backward (geographically,
demographically and economically) regions of Madhya Pradesh is worth
applauding.
He was recently
in news for taking initiatives in Balaghat where he not only give a sense of
security to down trodden people, but also ensured that they get best of the
class medical care. It should be remembered that Asit is also a doctor and has
not abdicated his responsibility even after becoming an IPS Officer.

Profile of Asit Yadav
Asit Yadav was
born and brought up in Meerut, Uttar Pradesh. He completed schooling from
Meerut and started preparation for Medical Entrance Examination. He cracked
CPMT and get admission into MLB Medical College, Gwalior.
He has completed
MBBS from MLB Medical College. He didn’t go for high degrees after this and
rather decided to prepare for Civil Services. He appeared in UPSC Civil
Services Examination in 2010 and cracked it with AIR 364. He got his second
choice for cadre – Madhya Pradesh. His first choice was UP.
It should also
be mentioned that he got IPS because of reservation policy. He had completed
MBBS but was not into practice and had not joined any hospital and hence could
easily cross the hurdle of creamy layer.

Asit Yadav, as
the SP of Balaghat, organized a medical camp in Sitapal Police Post. He being
the doctor actively got involved in this camp. He had also called a medical team
comprising six doctors from Nagpur. More than 400 villagers got medical
benefits – free diagnostic tests and medicines – through this medical camp.
