Profile of Jairam Thakur

Jairam was born in Tandi village of Mandi district in a humble family. His father’s name is Jethu Ram Thakur. He came under the influence of RSS during his college days and since then has become a pracharak. He shares very good relationship with many RSS heavyweights.

Jairam is married to Sadhana Thakur who is a well – known doctor of Mandi. She is also a famous social worker. Jairam and Sadhana had a love marriage (also inter caste marriage).

Jairam Thakur was minister in the Prem Kumar Dhumal ministry. He was also BJP candidate in 2013 Mandi Lok Sabha Bye Election. However, the wife of Virbhadra Singh – Mrs. Pratibha Singh – won this election handsomely.
