Alok Verma is a 1979 batch IPS
officer of AGMUT cadre. In a career spanning 35 years, he has donned many
roles. He was Delhi Police Commissioner. He was the 27th Director of
CBI. He was removed from CBI by the selection committee headed by the Prime Minister, LoP and Justice Sikri.
Alok Verma is widely perceived as an
honest police officer. That is why his selection for the CBI Chief was hailed
