Amjad Tak is a 2005 batch IAS officer of AGUMT cadre. He is widely regarded as one of the most honest and ethical public servants of the current generation. He has been at the forefront in making people get the benefits of schemes and programs initiated by the Government. He was recently transferred to Mizoram from Delhi. He was the DM of South Delhi since 2016. Usually, the transfer process initiates after three years of service. However, he was sent to Mizoram within two years.

The reason of Tak transfer shows the inhumane nexus of corrupt politicians, administration and religious gurus. Tak had retrived 2600 Bighas of prime property in his anti encroachment drive. You might have seen slums being destroyed by an officer. However, in this case, it was not slum, but palatial buildings and prime properties were taken over. Many religious gurus were operating from Government land. So was the case of many politicians, rich businessmen and administrators. Tak removed them all.
