Pawan Negi stole the lime light in the 2016 Indian Premier League – IPL – auction, where he was bought by Delhi Daredevil for whooping Rs. 8.5 Crores. This little known, but rising star of Indian cricket was the costliest player of this auction ahead of Yuvraj Singh.

Pawan Negi is a promising all round criketer. He can bowl left arm spin and can bat quite violently in death overs. That’s why he is considered a player to watch out for shortest version of the cricket – T 20.

Unfortunately, people still remember Pawan Negi for his encounter with Hardik Pandya. In a CSK Vs MI IPL match, Dhoni gave bowl to Pawan Negi thinking that Hardik will make a fault against him. However, Hardik scored more than 20 runs in the second last over of the innings turning the match in favor of the Mumbai Indians.

Profile of Pawan Negi

As the name indicates, Pawan Negi is basically from Uttarakhand. He was born and brought up in Almora. His family got shifted to Delhi, and he was admitted to the Delhi Public School, Mathura Road. The sports environment of this school is well-known and Negi took advantage of coaching and facilities available there. He started to play cricket for the school and later for a club. He was quickly recognized by DDCA and was included in the Delhi Ranji Team. From there, he started to become better every passing year – first with Delhi Dare Devils and later Chennai Super Kings IPL Team.

Pawan Negi was born on January 6, 1993. Currently, he is 23 years old.

Girlfriend of Pawan Negi

Pawan Negi had a girlfriend during his final year of DPS School. The girl was her class mate. However, both are no more seeing each other. It was girl’s decision to break the relationship. There is no denying that at this juncture she must be depressed for her decision to quit Pawan for someone else.

After that, Pawan Negi remained single. She is not looking forward to be in any relationship at this moment. His entire focus is cricket and establishing himself as a useful all round cricketer.
